  2. Kill two birds with one stone Succeed in doing two things at the same time
  3. All brawn and no brain Someone who is physically very strong but not very intelligent
  4. Cheek by jowl Crammed uncomfortably close together
  5. Make ends meet To have enough money to live on
  6. Spin a yarn You tell a story, usually a improbable one with distorted truths
  7. Eat one's word You have to admit that what you said before was wrong
  8. Can't see the wood for the trees So concentrated on the details that they can't see the situation as a whole.
  9. Never a dull moment Something is always changing or happening
  10. Same boat They are in the same unpleasant or difficult situation.
